TERRAINS…the body is built for truth
Fourteen women over the age of 55 dive into a grand movement experiment resulting in portraits of their truth shared through film.
Movement goes where language cannot. Terrains is a snapshot of movement in nature with women expressing their inner truths. The director, inspired by her experience of turning 55, worked with each one – none of them performers – to identify a theme of what matters to them at this point in their lives. Together they filmed these ideas throughout Whatcom County’s woods, beaches, rivers, meadows, mountains and hills. The result is a visually stunning, dialogue-free film sharing their individual expressions of universal themes.
